ITV has confirmed that the popular reality dating show, Take Me Out , has been cancelled after ten years on the air. Hosted by Paddy McGuinness , the TV series saw a group of singletons keep their light switched on if they were attracted to a certain bachelor, and the show went through stages of revealing more about Mr Right’s personality, habits and hobbies. If several women kept their lights on, the contestant would then choose his favourite girl to join him on a holiday. Of course, the series coined Paddy’s popular catchphrase: “No likey, no lighty! In the show, a male contestant has to try and impress 30 women, who switch their lights off if they lose interest. At the end he is able to pick from the women whose lights are still on, with both going on a date to Tenerife. In December contestant Jade Devaney opened up about what it’s like to feature on the programme. Jade explained that contestants are taken to two different hotels during their time on the show once that are in Tenerife – checking in to one hotel only to check into another following date day.
